Project 365. Days Three-Sixty-Two and Three-Sixty-Three: A Very Furry Christmas...

Even our local residents had a good Christmas. Yes, thats right, we bought the animales Christmas presents. Are you surprised? Should I add that they have their own stockings too? Judge me how you will :)

Kolache, Jason's Mom's pup, even got into the holiday spirit and gave the residents their very own portable dog house. Really, Kolache gave it to the cats b/c we all know Kiltie couldn't get anything past her noggin' in there. But! Should the day arise when Kiltie wants to make like an ostrich, I'm positive of where she'll be.

Ridley surveying her dominion...

Paprika and his big self. Who seems pleased with his orange self?...

There's even room for two (pretty sure I heard them discussing curtain patterns and throw pillows)...

We let Kiltie and the cats open their stockings and presents but were only really able to get pictures of Kiltie before the camera died. I assure you though, the cats made out just fine this Christmas...don't let them fool you (they are now the proud owners of a lot of catnip toys).

Kiltie eagerly waiting for me to get the 10,000 tags off her toys...

...Wondering if I need help...

Reaping her profits...

A Very Furry Christmas...

Today's Highlights:

1) Having another delicious breakfast from da Hubs (he has cooked breakfast every morning for me!)
2) Chilaxin' relaxin' actin' all cool, shootin' some bball out by the pool. Ok, skip that last part.
3) Not leaving the house all day long (except for a momentary queso run).
4) Playing Chicken Foot, Speed, and Nerts w/ Jas
5) Enjoying time w/ da Hubs/and residents
6) Cooking homemade tortilla chips, and taquittos (w/ a "K" shaped tortilla chip on behalf of da Hubs)
7) Watching Dog Whisperer before bed.
8) Looking forward to wishing Mom another happy birthday and welcoming in the New Year. Can you believe its practically 2011???

What was a highlight from 2010 for you? Did you learn anything? What about 2011--do you ahve any goals are ambitions?

From our furballs to yours...Happy New Years Eve Eve!

Project 365. Day Three-Sixty-One? My days are off...

Well, my numbers are off...I guess that's what happens when you miss a few days here or there during a 365 day project. Oops. Just ignore that. Just a few days from now the project/blog will turn 1 year old. Whew!

Anywhoot, Todays Highlights (which have nothing to do with these pictures and will be put at the begining....just to shake things up a bit):

Today's Highlights:

1) Low-key day
2) Sleeping in
3) Being awoken by a da Hubs smooch AND fresh blueberry muffins that he'd made for me :)
4) Staying in my PJs until we left the house for the first time around 1pm
5) Mini-torpedo pizzas :) Mmmm!
6) Spending the evening playing Bingo at the local Elks Lodge
7) Not to mention, looking at these pictures and smiling at the thought that Jason and my dad get along so well :)
8) Going to sleep knowing that Jason wants to cook breakfast in the morning. Yesssssssssssss.

What are you most looking forward to for the next few days ?

Well, I'd love to hear about it...

2) Hosting our very first Christmas @ La Casa
3) Cooking our very first "Christmas" dinner...which was a hit I must say.
4) Me, successfully cooking my very first Sweet Potato Pie :) Ole!

Next up...

Quality time w/ da Grammy.

Lots of pictures and snippets to come.

How was your Christmas ?

Can you believe its almost 20-freakin'-11 ???

P.s. Those hats that Jas and I are wearing? Mom made them. Nothing beats a hand knitted ______/hat from Mom. LOVE when she knits us stuff!! Thanks Mom!

Til a fuller update! Merry Day After Christmas!

Project 365. Days Three-Sixteen through Three-Seventeen: Happy Christmas Eve Eve!...

It's practically here. Can you feel it? Slight insanity, crinkled wrapping paper, very full, feasted tummies. Christmas. And, I happen to think that this is going to be "the hap-hap-happiest Christmas since Bing Cosby danced with Danny effing Kaye!"
And guess what? I got an early Christmas present....

Tim and Em over at Today's Letters have been competing to become the "Best Blog of 2010". In the latest round of voting, bloggies cast their vote by comment only. Well, Tim and Em have posted some of their favorite comments on their own blog...and...I can say I'm touched that they considered my comment meaningful. Hello, Xmas present numero uno! Nothing quite beats having your appreciation reciprocated right back atcha ("atcha" is a technical word....I know b/c I'm an English major).

You can take a look-see at Tim and Em's post here (but, don't forget to cast your own vote! Today's Letters definitely deserves some winner winner chicken dinner!).

Today's Highlights:

1) Case in point: Xmas present numero uno. Did I mention I threw up a victorious fist pump...alone...parked in a parking lot? Well, I did. Bam!
2) Food Wars w/ da Hubs
3) Having 99% of Christmas shopping done. Huntsville's lack of shopping possibilities + finals + work = me shopping all.day.long. But hey, somebody has to keep Mr. Kringle on his jolly toes.
4) Looking forward to sleeping in w/ da Hub-a-saurus in the morning
5) Annnnnd, cooking with him all day long in preparation for holiday feastivities. Hopefully, I'll have dreams full of Julie Child, June Clever, and Emeril tonight. Ole!
6) A good mornin' cup of rasp. hot choc. @ The Sweets pre-shop-off :)
7) Jason being OFFICIALLY OFF WORK through the New Year!

Don't forget to go vote for Tim and Em!
And to all a good Christmas Eve Eve!!

Project 365. Days Three-Eleven through Three-Sixteen: Christmas time is here...

Oh my oh my! Its Christmas week. Let me re-phrase that.... ITS....CHRISTMAS...WEEK (CRAP!)!

We have so much to do..it kind of feels like life's version of finals. Sick. Oh well, atleast its for Chrustmas and not for class :)

Hows your holiday to-do list coming ?

In other news, I'm pretending that somehow my house will magically look all "Good Housekeeping" like Julie's over at girl in the red shoes. Well, mine does if you squint really hard. :)

All is well though b/c I still have my highlights...

Today's Highlights:

1) First "do-nothing" day....aside from all the stuff I have to do :)
2) Perico's date w/ da Hubs
3) Organizing...sort of...
4) Playing w/ da Kiltie in the (freakin' 80 degree, what happened to December) yard

P.s. This picture was taken at the 90th Annual Tree Lighting at Bearkat Plaza on campus. The tree was HUGE! Note: My hand-knitted, mom-made Bearkat hat :)

How do you make your house have a touch of "Good Housekeeping" ?

Oh, one more P.s....

I need a good book to get lost in (but not one that'll make me depressed. Here's lookin' at you Nicolas Sparks!). Have any book recommendations for me? If so, why?

Merry Wednesday!

Project 365. Day Three-Ten: Almost done...

I'm almost done with finals and this semester, thank goodness!

And, it's almost that time (see picture above). At this time last year, I became the proud owner of an A&M Snuggie given by none other than my nephew Ricky. He was SO excited to give it to me, and I love it :) Although it does attract the pet fuzz quite well and thus has become close friends w/ the wachine machine over the last year. Lemme just say to all you Snuggie haters out there.... they may just seem like a backwards robe, but they keep you cozy and warm! And, if your darling nephew gave you one, you'd probably love them too ;)

Today's Highlights:

1) All of my hard finals are OVER
2) All of my essay finals are OVER
3) I can practically smell Christmas break
4) Lookin' forward to some Beeble/Keeble time
5) Getting to hear about/see all the stuff da Hubs learned in his photoshop class :). This was probably my number one highlight today...so fun to see him excited about having learned something new :)

Isdly Hubs! You are the Photo to my shop. The Butter to my Bean. The whomped to my hair. :)

Happy Freakin' Thursday Fah-Rends!

Project 365. Days Three-oh-Six through Three-oh-Nine:

I'm still getting things back in order from The Great Computer Crash of 2010 so here's another pic from the archives.... from about this time ago last year when we'd just gotten Ridley and she was only a little toot. Now, she really is a toot. Trouble, that one (two if you count Paprika).

How are you world ?
Auntie Karen...how are you surviving the blizzard? Wish we could play in the snow with you guys!

School is almost over and the holidays are practically at the doorstep.
What are you most looking forward too this season?
Do you and your family celebrate any special traditions?

Whether you have snow, or live in TX where it's 70 plus every other day this month, I hope you have a beautiful day tomorrow!

Today's Highlights:

1) One of my hardest finals/classes. OVER.
2) Watching the history channel w/ da Hubs, reflecting back on our trip to Chicago.
3) Laser pointer + kittens = fun for all.
4) Everything Christmas (our tree, decorations, music, tv specials, semesters end etc)
5) Lovin' and being loved by da Hubs
6) Learning about/looking for constellations w/ da Hubs
7) Being practically over this darn cold

Merry Wednesday!

Today's Highlights:

1) Computer. Back. Yes.
2) It's friday!
3) Jason and Brian surprising Kim and I with tickets to Beauty and the Beast (the musical)!
4) NyQuil

Project 365. Days Two-Ninety-Four through Two-Ninety-Eight: Still here...

Well, my computer is still down for the count but....here I am on Jason's Ol' Faithful. And, it was just easier to tap into the archives on Jason's computer for a picture than anything else. This, here jewel is from the very, very first snowfall (at Christmas time thank-you very much) that I'd ever seen in College Station. Seems like it was about a million years ago. Ah, Kiltie loves the snow...makes her like a pup again :)

Anyways, I'm still alive. Have a lott-o papers and projects due in the next week and have worked pretty hard on academia this weekend.

How was your Turkey Day?

We had a great one, topped off with a Fightin' Texas Aggie win against TU!

Oh and P.s.....

Go here, please and thank-you.

Here's to being back in the blogging world even if Slick is still sickly! Whoop!

Project 365. Days Two-Eighty-Six through Two-Ninety-Three: A heaping bowl of brain stew...

Ok. Again, I don't have a picture to post and Slick is still under the weather.
I just wanted to take a moment, on Jason's mighty laptop, to say that I'm still alive....barely.

School + my brain = brain stew

I have about 10,000 projects/papers/etc due in the next week and a half ? No really, I counted them.

But, hopefully soon things will be back to normal in this here blogging world.

Miss me ?

This is where you say "yes."

Today's Highlights:

1) Officially being on Turkey Day Break...even if I'm buried under a pile o' work w/ a side of yams.
2) Pumping out papers/annotated bibs like I'm a machine. Who knew this was physically possible ??
3) Having lunch w/ da Hubs !!!! Whooooooooop!
4) You all following this link:

Today's Letters:{A Little Help from Our Homies}

...so much work left to do! Here's to productivity (I hope...assuming I can scrape the can for what's left of my brain power)!

Glad to touch base with you world !

Project 365. Day Two-Eighty-Five? I think?...

Slick, my computer, is sick. And, until he is back to normal I'll probably be blogging from my phone.

Today's Highlights:

1) Dr. D pushing the due date of a big project back to Monday (instead of Friday)
2) ...AND Dr. D cancelled class on Friday which gives me added opportunity to work on my 10,000 projects. This, maybe, might have, possibly caused me to throw my hands up in the air, jump from my desk, and hug my professor in front of the whole class. Joy.Could.Not.Be.Contained.
3) Being in charge of the fireplace for the night bc I am woman, hear me roar etc and so forth.
4) Pretty fall colors and leaves sprinkled from my favorite campus trees--they were like little presents for my rainboots to walk through :)
5) Finding maybe all of my articles for one of my annotated bibliography projects
6) Conputer problems forcing me to "unplug" from life briefly, make use of the campus library, and be appreciative that I a) married an engineer b) have the greatest husband ever c) have a husband who is also hardworking and determined and smart d) all the above

hint: the answer is 'all the above'

ok, keepin da Hubs up! Good night moon!

Project 365. Day Two-Eighty-One: Blog-out!...

...And other such things in list format(I do love a good list):

1) I'm famous. If you're anywhere as half as interested as I am about the number of followers I have, then you will have noticed that I have a 7th. That's right, a 7th! And, they aren't even related to me! AND, they maybe, just might be, a certain girl in the red shoes. Girl (Julie) in the red shoes + following my blog = me, famous. I should be a math teacher. Okay, that was a rediculous statement. Anyways, I may have spazzed out to Jason yesterday about said fame. It's the simple things in life, yes?

2) Speaking of Julie, who wears red shoes, her blog was kind enough to tell me about a little somethin' somethin' that Shutterfly is doing. Ahem. Basically, Shutterfly = awesome (more math, sheesh). And, they make personalized, fabulous, kindamakemecovet, holiday greeting cards!! Yes, you may squeel now. ANNND, if you mention this astoundingly terrific greeting card sitch (that's "situation" for those of you who may not understand my banter), they'll give that blogger 50 free cards !! HELLO! Check out Julie's most recent post to see some examples of their Christmas cards. The 2nd one on her post....? Stick a fork in me, I'm done. Holy cute Christmas with a side of sentimental song lyrics, Batman! It used to be so labor intensive to create holiday greeting cards, I love how accessible Shutterfly has made it for bloggers this season. Having 50 free Shutterfly cards would be like an early Christmas :)

3) What was 3 again ?

4) OH! Y'know Emily and Tim over at Today's Letters? If you don't and we're friends then you either a) live under a rock b/c I talk about their blog all the time b) Aren't one of my 7 (7!!) followers b/c ...I talk about their blog all the time c) A and B. Well, they've been entered into a little competition over at Apartment Therapy...which may be one of the coolest things EVER...annnnd they need your votes! So, follow the link and once you've stopped drooling over their style, vote for them by clicking the thumbs up/like button. Thanks and gig'em!

5) Speaking of "Gig 'em," something that makes me happy (besides puppies and kittens which we already have plenty of (or, DO we? ...Just kidding Hubs)) are blogs by Aggies. Can I get a "WHOOP!" ? Let me just introduce you to one: Stephanie over at Life Shiny Side Up will make you smile, laugh, wanttobeanAggie, and bottle up her perspective for a rainy day. It's a goodin' and a regular read for me. For serious, I expect you to go check out her blog and report back to me how you could hardly contain your smiles. Thanks AND Gig 'em :)

6) If you've done your homework and have clicked the 10,000 links in this post, you might have noticed that many of us write letters to our spouses and the random, enjoyable, learned experiences of our days. You can thank Emily for that pearl of wisdom. I'm sure many of us, like myself, were already into the letter writing biz but I think it was Emily's creativity and courage that gave us all the needed nudge. Like I said, I'd done this letter writing thing for a while but, most of it was in my head. Or, written on a crumple of paper in bright marker as a profession of my undying love to Jas. However, one thing I've learned from Emily is that even though it's important to share things privately with the people in your life, it's also important to speak up about the great things in your life. Specifically, I think there is something to be said about expressing what you love/appreciate about your spouse in a public way. Consider this kind of thing to be a "proclaiming from the mountain tops," and Jason definitly gives me plenty of reasons to do this. It gives me joy, in the pit of my stomach, to point out how much I appreciate the fact that he brought me home sour gummy worms last night b/c he knew I'd be worried about registering for classes, or how he willingly commutes an hour both ways just so that I can go to school. So, if you haven't checked out Emily's blog yet....this is your chance to (well, thats a lie b/c you KNOW I'll mention her again). As Emily would say, "There are many things that can change a life, a letter is one of them."

7) Well, this post is about a mile long, I'll stop for now b/c I gotta get to my Colleges Against Cancer and Relay for Life meetings!

Short N' Sweet Highlights:

1) Friday Eve!
2) Wearin' comfy leggings all day long!
3) Getting to watch the afternoon rainstorm outside my classroom window
4) Then, watching the sun come out to enjoy the rain too.
5) Meeting up w/ Jason for some Bearkat Volleyball
6) Getting a free tshirt at the game
7) World's best husband :)

If you made it all the way down here, congrats! I will give you a free hug the next time I see you!

* P.s. According to Tim from Today's Letters, the contest pertaining to their apartment is already over (so if you voted, thank-you!). Your votes took Tim and Emily to the semi-finals! And, if it's any consultation Tim and Emily, you're welcome to bottle up your superb style, slap a stamp on it, and ship it my way...it'll always be appreciated in our house!

Dear Husband, Know that I love you more everyday, and I'm so glad to be your wife. Thanks for being by my side no matter what. Be safe this weekend! Can't wait for Sunday. I.S.D.L.Y.!

Project 365. Day Two-Eighty: Stop Motion...

So, I've seen a string of really cool stop motion music videos lately. Seriously, these are cool. If you don't like stop motion, you should still take a look at these...they're worth it. And, no annoying/creepy clay-mation characters like you'd find in stereotypical stop motion vids!

The first comes from my favorite music group, David Crowder Band. I love me some DCB :) Remember Lite Brites ? I bet you didn't think about doing this when you were 8!

Here's some more info on the video, you won't believe how many Lite Brites and friends it took to make this video!

Emily, over at Today's Letters, introduced me to this jewel. Ok Go + Toast = the best thing since sliced bread (sorry, I couldn't help myself)! Oh, not to mention I'm kind of obessed w/ trees and acorns (the name of the song is "The Last Leaf." Win!).

The last video is by my highschool classmate, Ben Rector...if you've followed the blog then you should be familiar with him.... But, isn't his music good?

So, have you enjoyed your generous portion of talent today?

Good!

Now, I only wish I could eat toast, while playing with a Lite Brite, while listening to Ben Rector :)

Today's Highlights:

1) Getting more info about GETTING MY RING!!!
2) Getting registered!!
3) These sweet vids
4) A highly enjoyable walk w/ my pup and my camera, leaves, acorns, and Kiltie's special birthday leash.
5) Teaching Project DONE
6) Pita Pit w/ da Hubs

And to all, a good night!

Project 365. Day Two-Seventy-Nine: By this time tomorrow...

...I'll be doing this:

Please, ignore my dirty mirror. Also, I'm thinking about love which is why I chose not to do much editing on this incredibly awesome pho-toe. Annnnd, I'd like to point out that I'm mimiking the middle skeleton on my shirt, which glows in the dark. Yes, I'm wearing a glow-in-the-dark skeleton shirt b/c this picture was actually taken on Halloween.

Anywhoot, by this time tomorrow I'll:

a) Be.done.with.my.group.project. Did I mention how much I dislike group projects?
b) Be registered for my Spring semester as a Bearkat. Eat 'em up! I also hate registering b/c just how after all these years they can't figure out how to make cough syrup not taste horrible, they have yet to figure out a college registration system that isn't horribly flawed. Fingers crossed, I'll be able to get into this creative writing class that I really want to take. *swoon!*

Today's Highlights:

1) Group project done, just have to present it.
2) Wearin' my Cubbies tshirt
3) Picking up my Movember shirt (it's "No Shave November" for the dudes around campus which helps to promote Testicular cancer awareness. My shirt has a gigant-o mustache on it, and we all know how I love me a good mustache).
4) Watching a new episode of House w/ da Hubs. I KNOW! I watched TV, at night, w da Hubs! Take THAT homework!

What are you most looking forward to this week?

Monday, November 8, 2010

Project 365. Day Two-Seventy-Eight: A Cat's Life...

When I was little, I sometimes wished I was a cat. I think this was because cats remained to be my favorite animal for most of my childhood (don't worry, giraffes have always been a favorite too). Cats were what I doodled, what I dressed up as for Halloween (a black one coming out of a pumpkin, for the record), and what my friend Samantha and I always prenteded to be on the playground. I still love cats (shocking, I know) but now, I'd rather be a cat for one reason more than for any other...

Cat naps.

...In a sun beam.

P.s. You should go check out Julie at the girl in the red shoes. She has a super cute blog that I've followed for a while now. She a) has darling style (just check out her posts about her DIY home projects) b) knows how to work a curling iron c) might love her pets as much as I love my own d) all of the above. Speaking of her "darling style," check out this fancy shmancy bracelet she's giving away! I maybe, might have imagined it upon my wrist region today. Maybe. Anywhoot! You should check her blog out!

Have a good day!

Project 365. Days Two-Seventy and Two-Seventy-One:

We had a good Halloween yesterday (Kiltie was a professional tennis ball holder, of course)--even though we only had 1 group of 4 trick or treaters. We watched The Great Pumpkin, and a scary movie. Couldn't have asked for much more :)

How was your Halloween? What was the best costume you saw ? Did you have a lot of trick or treaters ?

Today's Highlights:

1) Nice weather (even if it wasn't preferable). Somehow 90 degrees at the beginning of November just doesn't seem right. Hello, Texas.
2) Having a productive afternoon of homework...I'm even (in the slightest) a little bit a head....at least in one class.
3) Reminiscing about how Jason scared me at Chilis yesterday; it's good for laughs.
4) Playing ball outside w/ da Kiltie

Happy November to you and yours!

Project 365. Day Two-Sixty-Nine: Hello Highlights...

And do I have highlights!

1) i.got.the.new.taylor.swift.cd.and.ohmygoodness.it.is.wonderful!! (All thanks to the gift card that Brother Dave got me for my birfday)
2) This little trio of pine conies that assure me it's "fall" in TX (Note: Tomorrow is Halloween and it was almost 90 degrees today).
3) A&M BTHO (that's "beat the hell out of" for all you non-aggie folk out there)...anyways...A&M BTHO TECH today!!! WHOOP! This is a major highlight.
4) Lookin' forward to watchin Halloween specials and The Great Pumpkin w/ Jas tomorrow.
5) Oh, right... and I maybe, might have gotten the picture of me and George Bush Sr. autographed by the man himself today, and in doing so my wonderful da Hubs took evidential photos of the moment...nbd (that's "no big deal" for all you people that might live under a rock and only wish your verbal banter could be as hip as mine). Enjoy that run-on sentence while I enjoy my autographed picture. Post/pics to come. It's good to be an Ag :)

Friday, October 29, 2010

Project 365. Day Two-Sixty-Eight: It almost seems like fall...

Today's Highlights:

1) Playin' outside w/ this pup in what could almost be mistaken for fall weather...y'know, in Texas. Love all the leaves! And tonight, we smelled a wood fire :)
2) Having a class canceled today, whoop!
3) Going on a ghost tour w/ Jas. Lots of stories about campus, and a "hay ride" to go with it. It was fun and intesrsting! :)
4) If you haven't noticed over the last couple of days, the quality of my pictures has gone up...that's b/c Jason has been letting me use his older fancy camera. Luckily, I have some residents that are more than willing to be my models :)

Happy Halloween Eve Eve! Be safe!

Project 365. Days Two-Ninety-Three and Four: English, the Middle kind...

This is what I have to do in class tomorrow morning:

Ok, maybe I don't have to rap (but, how awesome would it be if I did?? REALLY awesome!)...

Anywhoot, I have to recite the first 18 lines of the Prologue to Chaucer's "Canterbury Tales."

Yup.

Oh, and TSwift's new cd came out today (!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!). Just sayin'.

Today's Highlights:

1) Going to sleep super soon
2) Tomorrow being much closer to being over than it was yesterday. Didja follow that?
3) Humphrey's w/ da Hubs
4) a thoughtful/loving/"you're doing a good job sweetheart" back rub in passing by da Hubs. He makes the difference in my day just by a single touch.

Dear Husband, I love you for moments like that (#4). And, I love that your thoughtfullness is the first thing people notice about you-- so very true. Thank you for your kind heart!

Either way though, I definitly put too much mousse in my hair today. Oh well :)

Today's Highlights:

1) All the hard stuff being over for the week
2) Getting my draft moved back to next week even though I have mine done (now I can go back and revise it even more before turning it in).

What are your highlights this week? What are you looking forward to about the weekend?

P.s. I've always secretly loved the "meese" as the plural to moose :)

Dear Husband, I really enjoyed going to Chicken E. w/ you tonight. When you said, "Sweetheart, do you smell that? Its the Chicken Express smell!," was almost too adorable for me to handle. Love eatin' some chicken w/ a side of adorable Hubs. Too bad they don't make Chicken E. candles, huh? Or, DO they? Know what else? I'm super stoked about baking some of those gourmet cookies you brought me home. I.love.your.surprises. FACT. You are the best surpriser I know, for serious. I sure do love you Mi Chico!

Project 365. Day Two-Eighty-Five: No picture.,.

We just walked in the door @ 11:15pm from a very busy day. And, I'd forgotten about the blog until I'd already curled under the covers and gotten warm. I won't lie, I didn't want to get out of bed to get my computer which resides only feet away on my desk. It's cold out there, okay?

Today's highlights:

1) going to dads 40th reunion luncheon/ football game! The Rice Owls won!
2) I want to learn a rap, even if it's the words to "ice ice baby". Ok that's a fact rather than a highlight.
3) sleepytime
4) taq w jas for breakfast!

Goodnight!

Project 365. Day Two-Eighty-Four: Relax! Go to it!

Question: What are some of the things you do to help you relax?

I'm not a good relaxer--more like a worrier and a doer. But! I do take bubblebaths in the sake of relaxing. Apparently, I take a lot of them b/c the other day da Hubs said to me:

"You're one of the cleanest people I know."

After I thanked him for his compliment, I asked him to elaborate.

"...You take a lot of bubblebaths."

:)

So, what do you do to relax?

My guess is that Auntie Karen will say: "knit"
And, Jason will say: "do nothing"

Am I right?

Now, go relax already!

Project 365. Days Two-Seventy-Eight Through Two-Eighty-One: [insert something clever here]...

Yep, I'm still alive.

Between being overwhelmed with school, out of town last weekend, and fighting allergies/not feeling good, I've let the blog fall through the cracks the last few days. Sorry.

But, here I am ...spending much time getting more acquainted with Jason's HOMEMADE FROM SCRATCH Tomato Basil Soup (as seen in the above Big Hug Mug).

Even though sometimes life happens and the blog, therefore, does not.... I think I've lacked from well my lack of "Today's Highlights".

So, here ya be!

Today's Highlights:

1) One day closer to the weekend
2) The Buried Life and House on the DVR
3) Jason cooking dinner for us for the 2nd night in a row even though I'd gotten out the meat with the intention of cooking it myself. He, however, is a knight in shining armor and is god at taking care of me when I don't feel good.
4) Homemade T.Basil Soup <3
5) Getting a 93% on my rediculously hard essay test for my rediculously hard class. Can I get a "Whoop!"
6) The Vitamin Water I'm about to crack open
7) Staying up a little later than normal to watch TV together
8) Rescued Chilean miners!

Dear Husband, Thanks for being so supportive of me and of Project 365. And, thanks for missing the blog when I haven't posted. 1) It's nice to be missed/appreciated 2) It's especially nice to be missed/appreciated by you. And for stepping up to the plate when I haven't felt good? Don't know if I'll ever be able to repay you except for promoting you to Head Husband (as discussed during our office meeting at the stove), and awarding you a life-time supply of extra smooches. Love Always, Boss.
