Let it snow in Huntsville this week!
Ok, I'm done.
Out of our pets, Kiltie would be the only happy one she LOVES to play in snow almost as much as I do. The cats, however, would kill us in our sleep if we dropped them in a big poof of snow (although that cat chasing fish in the frozen pond was pretty funny).
PLEASE SNOW!!
Recent Highlights:
1) Feeling mostly human again, although I still feel worn out. Dang it all.
2) Having da Hubs tell me I should a) write a book b) suggest a cute/funny idea that was along the lines of something I had toyed with doing c) the fact that he believes in me enough to think I could be successful at writing a book d) all of the above
3) Listening to Tim and Em's speel on Today's Letters. You should definitly go listen to it NOW! It's super great and challenging and encouraging :)
4) a lovely weekend w/ da Hubs
5) Having a husband who loves, loves, loves me.
6) Finding out that my mother-in-law is reading my blog (Hi Sue!)
7) Going to bed after this post b/c I am worn out!
8) IT MIGHT SNOW THIS WEEK!!
9) Listening to "Drops of Jupiter" and other Train hits in the coche.
10) Waking up every morning, and after ever nap to da Hubs wonderful whisker kisses. This is one of my favorite things EVER (Next to the time he woke me up from a nap by stroking my cheek, to then kiss my cheek and tell me he just wanted to say that he loves me. Seriously. Bottle that up and stick it in the fridge, I want to save it for forever).
11) It's almost Valentine's Day which is tied for my favorite holiday (it always was as a kid...don't worry Christmas shares the title).
12) It's almost my Beloved's birfday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yes.
What good is happening in your world?
Oh and...
Goodnight!

Bono, I could use some Miracle Drug please...
My throat region hurts. Well, it feels obnoxiously scratchy and irritated and it's making me cough. But, don't tell Jason b/c I don't want the 'tussion--that stuff is sick! Plus, I'm not coughing that much. Also, D.C. is trying to eat the zipper on my jacket while he sits on my lap....just thought you should know.
I was going to take a picture of my hair b/c I don't think it feels good either and it looks quite rediculous. Note: I rolled out of bed and didn't touch it this morning. My rainboots were the perfect accesory to the dreariness of my appearance too.
The good news is that I have another picture for you to look at in which I look normal aside from that incredibly warm scarf I'm wearing....

I do enjoy that picture, I must say, it gives me a chuckle.
Today's Highlights:
1) Enjoyable rain playing as a soundtrack to my day.
2) Gettin' to wear my rainboots even though I almost BIT IT twice today due to hydroplanning in said boots.
3) Listening to my new (old) CDs--thank-you Half Price Books!
4) Enjoying only having ONE class today...in the AFTERNOON!
5) Leftover pizza for breakfast and lunch. Could I be anymore like a student? By the way, Jason went to 4 different places trying to find Ranch for said pizza to no avail. Welcome to Huntsville where if more than 12 people have the same hankering, everybody else will be out of luck.
6) Coke...and a smile.
7) Having a good schedule for the semester.
8) Being in a class that requires me to be creative.
9) Writing one of my first poems in a very long time.
10) Jason. Need I even explain ?
And, in case you didn't get the reference I made in the title of this post... its a song by U2 and my throat hurts. Miracle Drug + throat hurting...get it? Aye. Maybe my sense of humor needs a miracle drug.
Hope you're having a jolly day!

Project 365. Day Two-Thirty-Three: Sunday Funday Part Peachy Peach Halves...
This is the part where I show you the happiness that is the "Huntsville Farmer's Market" as we like to refer to it as...
YUM!

AND! Dum, duh, duh, duhhhhhh! PEACHY PEACH HALVES! I told you I wasn't lying, it's the technical name. Who doesn't love THAT? What if everything was named like that ? You don't see Peary Pear Halves anywhere do you (Jason)? Well, I think it is high time that our society adopt this happy labeling system, the world would be a much better place :)

P.s. I survived my first day as a new kid on a real college campus. It felt exhilerating!
Over, and out-o so da Hubs can use the computadora. Adios !
[Peachy Peach Halves for breakfast in the morning ? I think SO!]

Project 365. Day Two-Thirty-Two: Sunday Funday, Breakfast part B and Other things...
Remember how I said I'd show you how adorable da Hubs is? Well here you go, enjoy as I make up the dialog that was probably running through his head at the time :)
"Give me a smooch right here, please"...

"Get excited!"...

"Really excited!"...

"I can hardly contain myself"...

"Wait, I have been distracted by my own thoughts b/c I am smart and thoughtful and such"...

"Gosh, I sure do love you"...

"See? See how much I love you with my heart shaped hands?"...

.....................................................................................
In other news, all day today there's been this big back-to-school bash thing called Sammypalooza. I went to the "get free stuff/hand-outs/FOOD" part which was pretty fun AND tastey. Got some good grabs too including a free t-shirt which I WON (see picture below) and a FARMHOUSE t-shirt which I've secretly wanted since first eating at this YUMMY restaraunt (AND the girl just GAVE it to me even though it wasn't supposed to be given away for another hour or something, whatever)!

Oh yeah, and I went to this free pancake lunch thing today too. It's just a coincedence that it happened to be free and have food too, I swear I was there to meet people too ;) [P.s. I love food]
So, now I'm getting things together for THE FIRST DAY. Gah, no matter how old I get, I still get that same weird feeling in my tummy the night before the 1st day of school. Some eagerness(which will probably quickly leave me upon the first homework assignment), and some hesitency, some "Yaaaaaaay! New school supplies!!," and some "Ewww, syllabi.." Oh, and I'd like you to know that my campus (it's mine, I bought it outright), is 95% uphill. Feel free to call me thunder thighs, or crazy calves, or "look at that scrawny new girl struggle to make it up there hill". I'll be beefy by the end of the semester, watch out!
Ok, I gotta go finish getting ready so I can go to bed so that I can have a hard time sleeping b/c I start school at a REAL college tomorrow and feel a little bit like a itty bitty kid again (if only I had some of those rockin' outfits my mom would pick out for me w/ MATCHING BOW).
Blargel.
P.s. I'm kind of anal about getting my "perfect seat" in the classroom. Because I'm a nerd. Sooo, wish me luck!

Project 365. Day Two-Twenty-Four: Hanes your way...

Today's Highlights:
1) The Mister's socks
2) AIR CONDITIONING!!!! Yesssssssssssssssssss.
3) It's mom/dad's 35th (?) wedding anniversary! Awesome! Watch out mom/dad, Jason and I are gaining on you with 2 years! :) Happy Anniversary!
4) A brief, refreshing rainstorm. Our first as Huntsvillians. With bendy, wavy Piney Woods.
P.s. Let's pretend it's YouTube Tuesday, since I'm so good at posting those, so you can enjoy THIS! Somedays, you just can't seem to get it together...
BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
I just watched this atleast a dozen times with Jason. Now, it feels like I've done a bajillion crunches from laughing so hard. Gah, I want to watch it again :)

Project 365. Days Two-Fourteen>>Two-Twenty-Three: Back from my Blog-cation...

Well, I wasn't really vacationing, I just wasn't blogging on here for good reason...
1) We've been moving, and are officially in our new place
2) We haven't had the internet
3) We've been exhausted
But! We've got internet now!
It's been an insane few weeks but, we're making the bend now, thankfully.
I'm having trouble uploading pictures right now so, you'll have to settle for just this one of a tree in our front yard. He's way up there, that Piney Wood. He was, however, a highlight on that particular day. Get it? HIGH-light ? Bahahaa! Or should I say, he was a high-LIGHT ? Oye, I kill.
Anywhoot, I think it's important for me, in this time of transition and change, to make sure I appreciate my daily highlights that life is so grateful to give me. ...Pretty sure that's how those, "Chicken Soup for the Soul" books got started afterall...atleast, it's a good assumption.
Welp, as a preliminary to the updating to come, here ye be....
Today's Highlights:
1) Yesterday/today being the first time in, what seems like forever, that Jason and I have had a chance to even remotely relax and not be fixed to a hard-knocks sched. T.V., leisurely waking up around 7:30am, b-fast, and unpacking on our watch. Perfecta!
2) Discovering the good eats in town together
3) Going to CS to spend some time with Brian/Kim/Madeline
4) Dinner w/ the fam
5) Back to the blog!
6) Getting to write da Hubs letters on here again :)
Dum,da,da,dahhhh (that's my trumbucket trumbucketing)!
Dear Husband, I think you're a warrior. No, but serious, you've battled this move with skill and grace. I don't believe I could've survived without your strength and determination but, especially not without your faith that everything would work out. You've always been the man I've needed you to be (yourself, you're wonderful) but lately, you've really stepped up to the plate. I admire you so much, and wish I could adequately express that admiration to you. You are this family's backbone. And, even though I'm sick of boxes, I'd live in one as long as I was with you. Or, we can just make a sweet-awesome fort in the middle of our livingroom out of some instead :) I love you endlessly.
