I'm ready for SLEEP. Big test out of the way today, and a paper and test due tomorrow. So bed for now, and up early to write/study before class.

But isn't Kiltie pretty?

Have a good day!

Project 365. Days Two-Forty-Three and Two-Forty-Four: Little labor...

First of all, sorry I didn't blog yesterday....didn't get home until nearly midnight from the game in which we WON.

So, lemme just say, this is the FIRST Labor Day (other than the couple of times when I was little and my school year didn't start until after Labor Day) which I have OFF! I have always found it ironic that we were always required to labor on Labor Day when it was so obvious that the great American Dream expected otherwise. But, I also secretly admired the holiday for being so direct, and to the point while I wished I was one of those kids that didn't have to go to school on that day.

Anywhoot, here are a couple-three pics from the weekend...

Aggie football, WHOOP!...

Running into an old friend...

A little gardening and stepping-stoning...

Labor Weekend Highlights:

1) Uh, time off from school...duh.
2) Having Brother Dave over
3) Fish Fry Friday w/ da Hubs
4) Aggie Game Day / Finding Jason on the sidelines and getting excited everytime we made eye contact and everytime he waved at me :) Just like old times...always a highlight to gameday. So, proud of him!
5) Well, we won the game...so...that's cool...
6) Seeing John Dale
7) Re-vamped front stoop
8) Checkin' out The Woodlands
9) da Hubs surprising me with some extra goodies from Bath and Body Works :) Thank-you Sweet Pea for all my Sweet Pea stuff (and, acorns!!)! I'm always pleasantly surprised by your thoughtfulness :)
10) Island Getaway w/ the brother and da Hubs
11) A fresh shower with my new smell-em-goods
12) Papasitos!!! Mmmmm!
13) Introducing David to the Taq.
14) Lookin' forward to some Tuesday's @ Two w/ Katie W tomorrow!! Seein' the fam. etc
15) Getting to go to bed knowing I DON'T have school tomorrow!
16) Knowing I'm married.to.my.best.friend.

Dear Husband, The last few days that I've gotten into the car and heard our song playing as soon as I turned on the radio has been wonderful. Remember how that always seemed to happen to us when we were dating ? It's moments like that that further confirm for me that God is in the little things and He cares about us. Oh, and maybe, just maybe, He's just as giddy about our love story as we are. Mmmhm! I hope that as another week begins, you're able to find little moments like that too. Just keep a look out! Have I told you lately (no, I'm not stealing "your song") that I believe in you? Or how bout that I think you're incredibly brave ? I look forward to beginning another week waking up by your side! P.s. If you need to heal any wounds, please find the bottle of Aunt Helen located under the sink. This, assuredly, will remedy either your wound or need for a smile (I know this is the case for me!)[# 856 why I love you endlessly]. ISDLY//PPH !!

Project 365. Days Two-Fourteen>>Two-Twenty-Three: Back from my Blog-cation...

Well, I wasn't really vacationing, I just wasn't blogging on here for good reason...

1) We've been moving, and are officially in our new place
2) We haven't had the internet
3) We've been exhausted

But! We've got internet now!

It's been an insane few weeks but, we're making the bend now, thankfully.

I'm having trouble uploading pictures right now so, you'll have to settle for just this one of a tree in our front yard. He's way up there, that Piney Wood. He was, however, a highlight on that particular day. Get it? HIGH-light ? Bahahaa! Or should I say, he was a high-LIGHT ? Oye, I kill.

Anywhoot, I think it's important for me, in this time of transition and change, to make sure I appreciate my daily highlights that life is so grateful to give me. ...Pretty sure that's how those, "Chicken Soup for the Soul" books got started afterall...atleast, it's a good assumption.

Welp, as a preliminary to the updating to come, here ye be....

Today's Highlights:

1) Yesterday/today being the first time in, what seems like forever, that Jason and I have had a chance to even remotely relax and not be fixed to a hard-knocks sched. T.V., leisurely waking up around 7:30am, b-fast, and unpacking on our watch. Perfecta!
2) Discovering the good eats in town together
3) Going to CS to spend some time with Brian/Kim/Madeline
4) Dinner w/ the fam
5) Back to the blog!
6) Getting to write da Hubs letters on here again :)

Dum,da,da,dahhhh (that's my trumbucket trumbucketing)!

Dear Husband, I think you're a warrior. No, but serious, you've battled this move with skill and grace. I don't believe I could've survived without your strength and determination but, especially not without your faith that everything would work out. You've always been the man I've needed you to be (yourself, you're wonderful) but lately, you've really stepped up to the plate. I admire you so much, and wish I could adequately express that admiration to you. You are this family's backbone. And, even though I'm sick of boxes, I'd live in one as long as I was with you. Or, we can just make a sweet-awesome fort in the middle of our livingroom out of some instead :) I love you endlessly.

Project 365. Day Two-Oh-Four: Things that happened today/ Today's Highlights...

1) Went here for lunch (Auntie Karen, you'd be proud...Jason got tabuli (sp?), and enjoyed the flatbread and hummus. He was quoted as saying, "Here, eat this. It's just like we're at your Auntie Karen's in MN")...

2) Aren't these clouds COOL ????

3) I found this lady's lost dog and called her. Then, later in the afternoon, I found this thank-you note from her on our front door! Here's Paprika and his cute self admiring the bird on the card...

4) THEEEEN, best of ALL.... these two came all the way from Conneticut via roadtrip to have a slumber party tonight!!!! THEY ARE THE BEST!!!!!! ("No jalepenos???" "....she was POSSESSED!"). SO good to hug their faces!

Project 365. Day One-Fifty-Three: Wonderful Weekend...

Weekend Highlight's:

1) Weekend drizzles.

2) Visiting Brother Dave in Houston, eating Perry's, swimming all afternoon, watching the boys play pool bball, kicking butt against the boys in pool bball, grilling shish key-babes for dinner.

3) Freshly rained on nature and stuff after swimming.

4) Pretty Houston skies.

5) Seeing a little bird family.

4) Waking up this morning to play frisbee w/ Kiltie only to discover we had an audience. Do you see her between the trees? We named her Lady :)

Here's a closer look...

5) Happy hour @ Abuelos (that means cheap, good food!).
6) Listening to Jason laugh at Everybody Loves Raymond
7) T-4 days until MN!!
8) Seeing Killers w/ Kim
9) A super great weekend w/ Hubs
10) Drinking coke from a glass bottle

I could go on but, I'll stop :).

Dear Husband, don't forget, you're my hero. Thanks for going on adventures with me even if that's just a trip to Target in the sweltering summer heat. You're the Indiana to my Jones. P.s. I hope you have a really great Monday b/c you deserve it. Just remember, a Jucy Lucy awaits us (okay, me) in MN in only 4 days !! ISDLY!!!

Project 365. Day One-Fifty: Celebrity sightings @ the local buffet...

Dear Husband, I'm so proud that you're the one to have discovered Santa at the E-Star buffet as he enjoyed his vacation and watermelon ("...they don't have those at the North Pole!"). You bring joy to me every single day. I love you more than Santa loves Hawaiian shirts. Looking forward to our weekend together!

[Apologies for the picture not relating but, evidence of Jason's discovery is currently being held hostage on my phone which died and is currently being brought back to life]

Today's Highlights:

1) SANTAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA(insert "Elf" quote here)!!
2) Rain storm all day, so refreshing!
3) Rain boots
4) SYTYCD
5) Welcoming the weekend w/ da Hubs

Project 365. Day One-Nineteen: Pretty Skies//On the Border...

After roughly 8 hours in the car today, we saw a lot of pretty interesting things. But, we also saw some just plain ol' pretty things like this--the border between Tennessee and Arkansas.

Another 8-ish hours tomorrow and we'll be home.
Further documentation to follow but for now, I'm hittin' the showers before collapsing in bed.

XOXO,
Sleepy In Little Rock

Project 365. Day Eighty-Eight: Pretty Skies Part Siete...

Late night studying last night, followed by an early morning of sleepy-studying, followed by an afternoon test. Put through rinse cycle and repeat.

Tomorrow, perhaps rediculously scheduled.

To-do first:

Dominate education test.

Blahdy-blah.

Project 365. Day Fifty-Three: Pretty (Pickett) Skies Part Quatro...

I don't really have time to make a full update on Pickett House today (as it usually seems is the case when I want to make an extended update). I just got home and have a little homework and may potentially be getting up quite early to go observe tomorrow so...no time.

But here are some pretty skies we experienced on the drive home from Pickett House..

Pretty Skies part A...

A short while later, Pretty Skies part B...

Off to hustle and bustle!
