The end of Project 365, the beginning of 2011...

Welp, the new year has come and gone and the Project made it to day 365. Yep, the blog turned the big ONE! Although I didn't achieve blogging every.single.day for a whole year....I did manage to blog for consecutively from Jan-July. Not too shabby I suppose especially with summer school, a short hospital stay, moving, starting a new school, adjusting to change, trying to grow-up (but not too fast), pursue our marriage, love Jason fully, and live life to the best of my ability (without going pre-maturely bald). Whew! 2010, you've been an interesting one!

You might be wondering what will happen w/ the blog now that the Project is over. Well, I'm glad you asked. The blog is here to stay! I'll still make posts, put too many pictures of the animales up here, have Today's Highlights, write letters, and share the occasional ramble. Basically, the only change occuring is in the title of my posts, I no long have to worry about sticking to the format of my titles (as I did w/ the Project)...now I can just plop something up there! AND, I don't have to count days anymore. Bueno. So, rest assured my fah-rends you can still peer into what life brings us. Oh,and what is one thing I've learned through this project? It's good to have goals but, its easy to get so caught up in achieving the goal that you forget to live life which leaves the goal meaningless. You can take that to the bank! And, while you're at the bank....I'd just like to say...

Project 365. Days Three-Sixty-Two and Three-Sixty-Three: A Very Furry Christmas...

Even our local residents had a good Christmas. Yes, thats right, we bought the animales Christmas presents. Are you surprised? Should I add that they have their own stockings too? Judge me how you will :)

Kolache, Jason's Mom's pup, even got into the holiday spirit and gave the residents their very own portable dog house. Really, Kolache gave it to the cats b/c we all know Kiltie couldn't get anything past her noggin' in there. But! Should the day arise when Kiltie wants to make like an ostrich, I'm positive of where she'll be.

Ridley surveying her dominion...

Paprika and his big self. Who seems pleased with his orange self?...

There's even room for two (pretty sure I heard them discussing curtain patterns and throw pillows)...

We let Kiltie and the cats open their stockings and presents but were only really able to get pictures of Kiltie before the camera died. I assure you though, the cats made out just fine this Christmas...don't let them fool you (they are now the proud owners of a lot of catnip toys).

Kiltie eagerly waiting for me to get the 10,000 tags off her toys...

...Wondering if I need help...

Reaping her profits...

A Very Furry Christmas...

Today's Highlights:

1) Having another delicious breakfast from da Hubs (he has cooked breakfast every morning for me!)
2) Chilaxin' relaxin' actin' all cool, shootin' some bball out by the pool. Ok, skip that last part.
3) Not leaving the house all day long (except for a momentary queso run).
4) Playing Chicken Foot, Speed, and Nerts w/ Jas
5) Enjoying time w/ da Hubs/and residents
6) Cooking homemade tortilla chips, and taquittos (w/ a "K" shaped tortilla chip on behalf of da Hubs)
7) Watching Dog Whisperer before bed.
8) Looking forward to wishing Mom another happy birthday and welcoming in the New Year. Can you believe its practically 2011???

What was a highlight from 2010 for you? Did you learn anything? What about 2011--do you ahve any goals are ambitions?

From our furballs to yours...Happy New Years Eve Eve!

Project 365. Days Two-Sixty-Three, Two-Sixty-Four, and Two-Sixty-Five: A Preview of the Birthday Blast...

Well, the entire stream of birthday weekend pictures will be up soon...just not tonight. But check out that MONSTER of a cake Jas got me ! Red velvet deliciousness. Mmm!

Weekend Highlights:

1) Turning 24.
2) A girl in my class baking me cookie muffins
3) One of my prof's holding class outside B/C OF MY BIRTHDAY! It was nearly Starbucks until someone in the class convenced her that it "would be too noisey." Whatever. It was awesome!
4) Mi Suera and baby nephew visiting on Friday
5) All of Jason's thoughtfulness (don't worry, I'll elaborate on that later)
6) Family Fiesta Weekend on Saturday. Hey Sam (Houston State), thanks for holding a school wide event for my birthday!
7) Going to my first Bearkat football game w/ my whole fam
8) Talking to Auntie Karen today
9) Hanging out w/ the Brittany M.
10) Being loved, lots.

Okay, that was just a brief preview of all the wonderful events that've occured this weekend. Hopefully, I'll be able to go more into detail in the next day or so assuming that the homework load isn't too heavy. Aye. Real school is hard work.

Anyways, turning 24 has proven to be one of the BEST birthdays I've ever had. Words will probably fail me when I try and explain how great of a weekend I had and how appreciative I am to everyone who was involved (from near and far).

In other news, today is day 265!! Know what that means ??? Only 100 days until I meet my goal for Project 365! Oh and it will also be New Year's Day. But, that's not as important ;)

Oh and keep an ear out for some new and exciting project news!

Okay, I need to get off this thing.

Over and out-o!

365 Days of Pictures (maybe. if i'm lucky....)

So, I've seen a lot of people do "a picture a day" blogs and have always enjoyed them. Thus, I've decided to jump onto that particular bandwagon and start my own. As the title suggests, I'll post (atleast) one picture a day. My goal in all of this (besides having the project be successful), is that I remember to slow down and enjoy life. Since I tend to stress out way too easily, overload on business, and love taking pictures, I figured this would be a good fit. With all that being said, here are the first few pictures of 2010--a year of pictures:

Day 1:

Kiltie, and our 3 months old kitten, Ridley, taking a New Year's nap.

The first meal of 2010 ! Mmmm!

Day 1 check. Now off to Day 2 !
